An Oasis to Every Kabayan Abroad
It takes years before an Overseas Filipino Worker could adapt to his new environment. Every night is filled with grief and silent wishes that he be with his loved ones. But, one must earn a living to give the family its daily needs. It is no mystery now how Pinoys cope with their situation, especially, with more than 3,000 Filipinos leaving the country every day, working abroad was the only solution. Most of us settled to work in countries here in the Middle East.
Filipino Media Inc. understands every Filipino's situation and shares his desire to uplift his family and his pursuit for a better life. With the growing number of Philippine-based workers in the region, FMI founders, Mr. Hany Emara, an Egyptian national based in UAE together with the Filipina businesswoman in Dubai, Ms. Mecky Decena, felt that a locally inspired TV network and programming could help, at the very least, ease the longing and bridge the distance between every OFW and his family. Thus FMI PAT TV was born.
Free TV in the Middle East is dominated by Arab-based channels, shows and programs. Today, for the first time, a Filipino-based TV station offering quality Pinoy shows can now be seen, broadcasting wherever you are in the MIddle East. This is PAT TV - an all Filipino channel that produces feature shows and programs designed for every Filipino in the region.
Today, with the combined opportunities brought by TV and the internet, PAT TV hopes to become a beacon for overseas Filipinos. A haven in their day-to-day life and an oasis in the middle of the desert, that helps keep the love for their families burning, all the while giving them a sense of being closer to home. FMI congratulates every OFW for their unwavering commitment to their families back home and may they remain blessed with opportunities for a better life.
